Mercedes-Benz is a division of the Daimler AG a German manufacturer of automobiles, buses, coaches, and trucks founded in 1881. The first Mercedes-Benz brand name vehicles were produced in 1926. This was the first building block of the company's reputation for quality and durability.

Mercedes-Benz has introduced many technological and safety innovations such as the world's first robot car in 1980s and the honeycomb radiator of the type still used on all water-cooled vehicles today.

One of the most known devision of Mercedes-Benz is AMG the in-house performance-tuning division where some of the high-performance Mercedes-Benz models are produced with all hand-build engines with the signature tag of the engineer who built it.
