Owned by General Motors (GM), SAAB has the reputation for manufacturing the safe and reliable automobiles, founded in 1937 in Sweden. SAAB stands for Svenska Aeroplan AB in swedish which means Swedish Aeroplane Limited, originally manufactured airplanes, and began to manufacture car in 1947 with its first model Saab 82991.
